DOROTHY DIETRICH TAKES FIRST PRIZE AT THE NEW YORK CITY BOOK FAIR!

Passer by Professor Putter, Kenneth Silverman, Dorothy Dietrich and Bravo the Great.

Of all the magicians in the world Dorothy Dietrich was chosen to represent International book publisher Harper Collins at the New York City Book Fair, one of the largest in the world. The only book they promoted was the new book by Pulitzer Prize winning author Dr. Kenneth Silverman. And a good choice it was. Dorothy's exhibit and her show on the main stage took first prize for the entire fair.

The show consisted of the appearance and disappearance of doves, a duck and rabbit and a tiny poodle. She also did a tribute to magicians Houdini and T. Nelson Downs by performing the "Misers Dream." She is one of the few women in the world to do this difficult sleight of hand routine. She also did a tribute to Houdini himself with a spectacular escape routine.

Pictured above is also Bravo the Great (Dick Brookz) who was contracted to perform on the mini stage throughout the days activities.
